For those who don't know me, I'm Laura from The Green Edition. A newsletter and blog with tips and tricks for a more ethical and sustainable life.
On the 25th January we celebrate Robert Burns in Scotland. I’ll be cooking my veggie haggis and wearing tartan tonight!
The kilt I’m wearing is a recent secondhand find that I’m in love with. It’s from a seller on eBay. A kilt is a great option for winter, it’s basically a wool blanket wrapped around the body. I’m a fan of the midi length but I also pondered ankle length. The mini is cute too but the silhouette wasn’t what I was looking for. It’s too much fabric which makes the skirt push out at the back.
Ebay have a lot of secondhand kilt options, I search for women’s kilt and click the ‘used’ box. I’m not that fussy about the tartan colour or pattern but I made sure it was made in Scotland. Made in the UK is also an option but I feel a bit funny buying a kilt made anywhere else.
